About Me

Meet Mr. Sandoval

I am new to Price, Utah from Seattle, Washington.  I earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Belmont University (Nashville, Tennessee) in the spring of 2014.  Nashville was full of learning, arts, performance and lifelong friendship opportunities that I will always value and treasure.  Belmont University, a private Christian institution in mid-town Nashville, is known for it's unique music programs, teacher education training, and diverse population of students from all over the world.  My time at Belmont afforded me the opportunities to perform in productions, spend time with professional musicians, and study under the extraordinary talents of educators, including: Dr. Meghen Sanders, Dr. Joy Kimmons, Dr. Myron Oglesby-Pitts, Dr. Trevor Lund, Dr. Sally Barton-Atwood and the incomparable Dr. James Stamper.

I have worked professionally as an actor, dancer, choreographer and assistant director.  A few of my credits include: Rico Rosa in Rico Rosa: Live!, Piggy in Lord of the Flies, Nelson de la Luna in Cloud Tectonics, Jackson in E.R.: Emergency Room!, Crook-Finger Jack in The Threepenny Opera, Chet in Your Mom, Xavier in Youth Deconstructed and Danny Zuko in Grease! The Musical.

I earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theater, with an emphasis in performance, from a conservatory program at Cornish College of the Arts (Seattle, Washington) in May 2004.  Cornish, one of only three private higher education institutions solely dedicated to the professional study of performing arts, continued my lifelong commitment to the power of fine arts discipline.  I had the fortunate opportunity to study acting/voice and speech/movement/theatre arts from the finest professional artists' in the world.  I pursued my professional training under:  Hal Ryder (Shakespearean/Classical text acting), Timothy McCuen Piggee (acting), Sheila Daniels (acting), Bonnie Cohen (acting), Robin Lynn-Smith (acting), Kathryn Mesner (acting), Robert MacDougell (stage combat/movement), David Taft (physical technique/movement), Deena Burke (voice and speech), Ellen Boyle (voice and speech), Kate Myre (voice and speech) and the world renowned Richard E.T. White.

As a dancer, I have studied dance technique, choreography and performance under: Jody Reed (technique/choreography), Jim Min-Yao (technique), Tinka Gutrick-Daly (technique), Ama Anang (technique), Kristy McNeil (technique), Daniel Cruz (choreography), Carrie Boltz (choreography), and the unstoppable Nikita Dunmore (choreography.)

I graduated from East Anchorage High School (Anchorage, Alaska) in May 2000.  My parents were both born and raised in East Carbon, Utah.
